Consultancy scores a hat-trick and wins three sub-agreements: "The strategy has really borne fruit"

Epico-IT, one of Denmark's largest IT consultancies, has won two public tenders covering three sub-agreements within the health sector. The tenders have a combined maximum value of DKK 578 million. According to the consultancy, this success is due to its strategic decision to establish a dedicated Public department staffed by professionals with deep insight into the public sector and many years of experience in matching the right skills to public sector needs.
The Epico Public division has focused specifically on the public and healthcare sectors nationwide. That investment has now proven worthwhile. Today, the consultancy announced that it had secured two tenders in the health sector, including three related sub-agreements. One is a cross-regional agreement covering all regions in Denmark, offering the possibility for all regional health authorities to participate.
The sub-agreements awarded are:
Project management and tender assistance to the regions
Operating aid to the regions
Advice within GxP, QA and laboratory systems for the Danish Health Data Authority.
The three sub-agreements have a maximum value of DKK 411 million, DKK 157 million and DKK 10 million, respectively, and are, in addition to the increased turnover, a great gain, according to Sara Høyer Tækker, as it can also ensure exciting tasks over the next three to four years for many of Epico-IT's consultants who work with public health:
"It is very important for a company like ours to be included in these large framework agreements with the state, municipalities and regions. We have worked closely with the public sector for over 10 years, so winning these tenders is of course a great financial gain for the company, but it also means that both Epico-IT's consultants, who are already affiliated with the health sector, can continue their good work, and at the same time we can invite new consultants into new tasks."

"It is important for us to be able to offer exciting and new tasks to our skilled consultants, and at the same time take part in prominent projects for the healthcare sector. This will also be a clear strengthening of our already high competencies in the health area."

Strategic Public Sector Focus is Paying Off
According to Susanne Sønderskov, the latest success is largely due to the fact that a separate Public department was established last year to focus on public tenders and the complicated process it takes to become one of the sought-after suppliers to the state:
"Over the years, our work with the public sector has become larger and larger as the digitalisation of society has really taken hold. Therefore, it was a strategic choice by Epico-IT last year to establish our Public department, where our focus has been, and continues to be, solely on the public sector as a customer," says Susanne Sønderskov, Head of Epico-IT Public, and continues:
"In the department, we have gathered experts in tenders, framework agreements and, of course, also in the actual process of delivering to the public sector. That strategy has certainly borne fruit, as evidenced by the many tenders won in a short period of time."
